Technology Package – Part One
Let’s start with the Navigation System,
This is a Satellite communication system that also reports real-time traffic information
The mapping and trafic data displays on an 8-inch screen, mounted high in the center control panel
You can enter an address or dial a location from a DVD destination database.
You have the option to use the interface dial or the Voice Recognition system.
The Navigation system then plots your path on the map and show special displays to guide you through freeway ramps, interchanges and forks in the road.
It will also provide voiced guidance if you like.
In addition to the Real-time traffic feature an additional feature includes Zagat Survey restaurant reviews.

Interstates and expressways are color-coded to indicate traffic flow levels.
Icons indicate the location of accidents and traffic conditions affected by construction and weather.
The data is aggregated by NAVTEQ from multiple sources (highway patrol accident reports, transportation departments,etc) and is updated approximately every 90 seconds.
Yo are provided a 90-day free trial period. After that real-time traffic data services are available on a subscription basis.
